Family of two, three nights
The shortest realistic Disney trip. Two adults, three nights, two park days. The budget version comes in around £760 (Eurostar advance, Hotel Cheyenne, two day ticket via AttractionTix, half board). Premium runs about £1,420 with Newport Bay Club and Hopper.
Adults only Disney is a different trip. You can do it in two full days, you should book character dining once for the silliness, and the bar at Newport Bay quietly justifies the upgrade for a couple.
Family of three, four nights
Two adults, one child, four nights. Budget around £1,180 (ferry plus Explorers Hotel, four day ticket, self-catered breakfast). Best value sits at £1,460 with Eurostar and Cheyenne half board. Premium at £2,200 with Newport Bay club room.
Threes are the cheapest party size per person at Disney. Eurostar bookings stay reasonable, the cheapest on-site rooms fit you, and food costs do not balloon. If you have any flexibility, this party size is when you can spend a little more on the hotel without the total spiralling.

Why prices moved in 2026
Three reasons. First, Disney pushed park ticket prices up about 6 percent across the board, with sharper rises on peak season passes and Hopper add ons. Second, the on-site hotels raised baseline rates by 4 percent, with bigger jumps on the budget tier (Cheyenne and Santa Fe) where demand is highest. Third, Eurostar tightened its yield management, which translated to higher peak fares and a smaller window of cheap advance tickets.
The good news for budget-conscious families is that the off-park hotels (Explorers, Magic Circus, Algonquin) held prices roughly flat. The gap between cheap and on-site has widened to its largest ever, which makes off-park a stronger value pick this year.
The cheapest week to go in 2026
Outside school holidays, the cheapest weeks for UK families are the last full week of January, the first full week of March, and the second week of November. Across all party sizes, those weeks come in 20-30 percent below the equivalent August trip.
Within school holidays, late October half term is the cheapest week. Easter is the most expensive because French schools are off too and the parks are at capacity. Christmas week is its own thing: expensive, atmospheric, worth it once if you have never done it.

How the 2026 numbers compare to 2024 and 2025
Two years ago, a family of four best value Disney trip landed around £1,820. In 2025 the same trip rose to £2,010. In 2026 it sits at £2,140. That is roughly a £160 a year drift, or 7 to 9 percent compound. It is faster than UK wage growth and faster than wider holiday inflation, so the trip is genuinely getting harder to afford on a flat budget.
The biggest single jump in the last two years was the Eurostar peak fare. A summer family of four return that cost £620 in 2024 was £820 by 2026. Hotels rose more gently. Tickets sit somewhere in between with the Hopper add-on becoming proportionally more expensive year on year.
The implication for families: the gap between the published headline package and the realistic best value version has widened. In 2024 the difference was around £200. In 2026 it is closer to £450. The savings are bigger if you take the time to price the components separately.
Realistic spending money on top of the budget
Pre-booked items (hotel, half board, tickets, travel) cover roughly 80 percent of the total trip cost. The remaining 20 percent is the flexible spending you do once you are there. For a family of four on five nights, that is roughly £400 to £600 of cash in hand.
Souvenirs are the single biggest variable. Set a per-child hard cap on day one and the negotiations stop. A reasonable budget is £40 to £60 per child. Without a cap, we routinely see families spend £200+ per child by day three.
Premier Access for short-queue skip rides is the second biggest cash drain. It costs £8 to £30 per ride per person and feels essential after a long queue. Decide in advance whether you will use it (yes, for one or two headline rides per day) or not (treat the queues as part of the experience).

When 2026 prices are not what you should be looking at
If your trip is more than nine months out, Disney 2026 prices are useful for setting expectations but not for booking. Disney releases packages roughly nine to twelve months ahead. For a December 2026 trip you should be looking at 2026 pricing now. For a March 2027 trip the brochure will land in May 2026 and a comparable best value tier will run 4 to 6 percent above the 2026 numbers in this guide.
The single biggest pricing variable for any future trip is whether the year contains a Disney anniversary or a major new ride opening. 2027 will not but 2030 will (50th anniversary of the resort). Anniversary years run 8 to 12 percent above non-anniversary pricing across the board.
