You are about to spend a lot of money on one week of the year. Here is exactly what we do with your quote, where our numbers come from, and what we will not claim.
What we check, every time
The quote you sent us
We rebuild your quote line by line so we know exactly what is and is not included: board basis, luggage, transfers, seats, park tickets, resort fees.
The same trip as a package
We price your dates and party through the major UK package operators to see whether a bundled version comes in lower.
The same trip booked direct
We price the hotel direct and the travel separately. Sometimes splitting it is cheaper, sometimes it is not, and we show both.
Every realistic route
Flights from your nearest workable airports, ferry with a car, Eurostar, and driving where it is plausible. Travel time is priced alongside the money.
Different dates inside your window
If shifting by a few days changes the price meaningfully, we tell you by how much rather than leaving you to guess.
The extras that get buried
Baggage, seat selection, parking, resort fees, kids' club charges, transfers and card fees. These are where quotes quietly diverge.
How we are paid
One flat fee from you. Nothing from anyone else. We hold no affiliate accounts with travel operators, we accept no paid placements, and no company can pay to appear in your check or to be ranked above another. If we recommend booking direct with a hotel instead of through a package, we earn exactly the same as if we recommended the opposite: nothing.
You never pay us for the holiday itself. We never see your card details for a booking, because the booking is always yours to make with the operator.
What we cannot promise
- Travel prices move daily. Every number we give you is a dated snapshot, not a locked price.
- We cannot hold, reserve or book anything on your behalf. You book direct with the operator.
- We do not promise a saving. If your quote is already strong, we will tell you to book it.
- We only recommend options that genuinely work for your party size, ages and stated needs, even where a cheaper option exists on paper.
Who does the research
Family Deal Finder is run by Daniel Carter, a dad of three from the UK. It started because planning a Disneyland Paris trip for five people took three weekends and still ended in a nagging feeling of having overpaid. Every check is done by a person, not generated automatically, and it is written the way we would want it written for our own family.
Questions people ask before ordering
Do you get paid by any travel company?
No. We take no commission, no affiliate revenue and no paid placements. The flat fee you pay is our only income, which is why we are able to tell you when the quote you already have is the one to book.
Do you guarantee I will save money?
No, and we will not pretend otherwise. If you have already found a genuinely competitive price, the honest answer is to book it. What we guarantee is an independent check and a clear explanation of the numbers.
Where do your prices come from?
We price each option live at the time we do your check, using the operators' own booking systems, direct hotel rates, and the transport providers themselves. Travel pricing moves constantly, so every figure we give you is a snapshot with the date and time it was taken.
Are the example reports on the site real customer reports?
They are illustrative. They show the exact format and level of detail you receive, using representative trips rather than a named customer's booking. We do not publish real customers' details.
What if my quote turns out to be the best option?
Then that is what your check will say, with the working shown so you can see why. Plenty of checks end that way, and knowing your quote is sound is worth having before you commit several thousand pounds.
Do you book anything for me?
No. We are not a travel agent and we never handle your payment or your booking. You book directly with whichever operator you choose, using the links we provide.
