Quieter forest setting, indoor pool with kiddie area, and a 10 minute walk to the parks. Loved by families with under-7s.
Best mid-range: Newport Bay Club
Recently refurbished nautical theme, large pool complex, and a free shuttle every few minutes. Often the best half-board option.
Worth skipping unless you really want the icon
- Disneyland Hotel: stunning, but premium pricing for what is essentially a fancy gateway to the park
- Hotel New York: lovely after the refurb but the Marvel theme is divisive
Off-park hidden gems
Explorers Hotel, Magic Circus and Vienna House Dream Castle all sit 10 minutes by free shuttle and undercut on-site rates by 30 to 50 percent. The trade off is no Magic Hours.
